Lea Bouton
Presentation
Léa Bouton is a French artist born in 1997 and residing in Montreuil. She graduated from Villa Arson in 2022. Drawing inspiration from funerary themes—its architecture, rites, and the artifacts it has produced over time—Léa Bouton's artistic work creates a dreamlike universe reminiscent of science fiction. Her work also delves into the tension between different scales (macroscopic, human, microscopic) and her interest in science in general. Her practice involves moving between various media such as ceramics, video, crochet, 3D, and installation, but drawing stands out as the privileged medium of her production, the one that condenses all her creative potential. Her drawings reveal situations that evoke dreamlike dimensions where an action seems frozen, already past, or yet to come.
