Julius von Bismarck

Julius von Bismarck was born in 1983 in Breisach am Rhein (Germany). He graduated from the Berlin University of the Arts (UDK) and from the Institute for Spatial Experiments founded by Olafur Eliasson, under whom he studied until completing his Master's degree in 2013.

Blending visual arts with other fields of research and experimentation such as the social or physical sciences, Julius von Bismarck's artistic practice takes on a variety of forms—from installation to happening, from sculpture to Land Art. His work is defined by a deep and complex exploration of the phenomena of perception, representation, and the reconstruction of reality.
