Pedro Moraes

Pedro Moraes (b.1990, São Paulo) lives and works in Berlin. He studied Fine Arts at the Kunsthochschule Berlin Weißensee. Starting from a pictorial mode of thinking, he develops his works through process-based practice toward a formally technical visual language. Between organic condensation and industrial precision, a field of tension emerges in which nature and social orders overlap. His works bear traces of extraction and consumption; they speak of the gradual erosion of human self-projections and lead back to the elemental materiality of our existe.
