Ariel Shefi (b. 2000) is a painter based in Vienna. She studied drawing, sculpture, and painting at Haneviim Atelier in Haifa, Israel, from 2018 to 2021. Since 2021, she has been studying at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna in Daniel Richter’s class.
Shefi’s work explores themes of human interaction, belonging, sexuality, loneliness, and the relationship between humans and their surroundings. Through symbolism, humor, and expressive techniques, she seeks to gain a deeper understanding of human nature and our place within the natural world.
