Kyler Garrison

Kyler Garrison (b. 2001, Colorado) is an American self taught painter based in Brooklyn, New York.

Working primarily with airbrush and acrylic, Garrison explores the ways digital technologies shape perception, memory, and identity. Rooted in a post internet sensibility, his paintings translate the fragmented visual language of online life into soft, atmospheric compositions where images appear suspended between recollection and distortion. Influenced by skateboarding, graffiti, and internet culture, his practice reflects on the tension between lived experience and its increasingly mediated representation.

Through blurred forms and layered surfaces, Garrison examines how memory is constructed and altered by the constant flow of digital information. His paintings invite viewers to consider the instability of perception and the ways contemporary image culture both enriches and obscures our understanding of the world.

His work has been presented in solo exhibitions at Carl Kostyál, London, Hyacinth Gallery, New York, Plan X Gallery, Milan, Village Manchester in collaboration with Screw Gallery, and Lorin Gallery, Los Angeles.
